Your hair grows naturally in groups of one to four hairs, referred to as "follicular units". Advanced techniques now enable us to precisely transplant these follicular units from your occipital (permanent donor area) into thinning areas on your scalp.

Healthy Natural Hair

The transplanted hairs take an average of 3 months to regrow to the scalp’s surface. This new hair grows as normal hair does at the rate of a quarter to half an inch per month. Thus it will be 6 to 9 months before you can really see a large difference. The end result is that after surgery you’ll have healthy hair that is growing naturally because it IS your own natural hair.

Our medical team achieves close to 100% success rate with our transplanted hair bulbs. This means almost every single hair we transplant will take root and grow. We also fund research into hair loss.

How We Work:

	A single or multibladed scalpel is used to take a strip of hair-bearing scalp from the permanent donor area at the back and sides of your scalp where your hair is abundant and not subject to androgenetic hair loss. This is called Strip Harvesting. The size of the strip will be dependent on the number of grafts required within the limits of the size and fexibility of your scalp. In addition, we are always careful to harmonize our work with any future changes as your hair pattern alters with age.
	We do not speed staple the area from which the strip was taken. Rather, we take the time to hand suture. This very much fits in with our ethos of a caring environment, allowing for increased patient comfort. The sutures are generally removed a week later.
	The harvested strip is then dissected under magnification into the required follicular unit grafts. The skill of our medical team ensures that these removed hair follicles will produce the highest number of healthy hair grafts. A follicular unit graft can contain between 1 to 4 hairs per graft.

	After we’ve discussed the placement and positioning of the hair grafts, these are then implanted into minute incisions in the area lacking hair. We use various angled incisions to recreate natural hair patterns that blend imperceptibly with your existing hair. After a few months, even your hairstylist will be unable to tell where the new hair begins.
